Most of the collections in the Archive are available to order and peruse, but authorization is required for some materials. Our personnel will assist in these cases. Please refer to our Archive Rules in relation to permissions for publishing, copying, photographing, etc.

Our archives and collections are found in diverse locations, and the time needed to make materials available may vary. The location of the materials can be seen in Finna.

Digital The materials can be accessed from the reading rooms at Ritarikatu 5 (Helsinki) and Kauppapuistikko 23 (Vaasa), during their opening hours. Some materials are available directly on Finna.

Helsinki, Magasin R The materials may be viewed in the reading room at Ritarikatu 5. Customer services will retrieve them between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

Helsinki, Magasin S The materials may be viewed in the reading room at Ritarikatu 5. Order them at least one day in advance by contacting customer services.

Helsinki, Magasin P The materials may be viewed in the reading room at Ritarikatu 5. Please contact customer services for access according to agreement.

National Library of Finland The materials may be viewed in the National Library’s special reading room. Please order them at least one day in advance from the library’s customer services kk-palvelu@helsinki.fi.

Vaasa, magasin V The materials may be viewed in the reading room at Kauppapuistikko 5. Retrievals are made between 10 am–12 pm and 1 pm–3:30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
